Sunshine Coast Riding for the Disabled (RDA) Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation providing equine-based therapeutic and recreational riding and driving programs for all members of the disability community on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

Our program days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We are closed Sunday and Monday. We are aligned with the State School system, so are operational during school terms and on holidays when the schools are on holidays.

Sessions for Term 1 2018 will commence on Tues 6th February 2018.

Yes, we do hire out our undercover arena and outdoor arena! If you are interested, go to Other Activities > Arena Hire to find all the relevant information and forms.

The second hand Saddlery Shop in Yandina is in desperate need of some more volunteers to help keep the shop open on a regular basis, especially with Christmas just around the corner!
This may be a perfect opportunity for someone to gain vital retail experience with a view to future employment!

VOLUNTEER'S CHRISTMAS LUNCH
Thursday 14th December at Laurie's Farm from Noon
BYO plate of food to share, your favourite beverage and a chair.
Invitations are here and will also be sent via email.

JANUARY SCHOOL HOLIDAYS ACTIVITIES
1. Trail Ride Experience at the Farm
Enjoy an early morning trail ride at Laurie's Farm. Starting at 8am, you will prepare your horse for this ride. No beginners or riders requiring assistance please. Limited spaces available.
$60 for the ride amongst the gum trees and along the creek. 2018 annual membership fe of $35 for members is required also.
Dates : January 8, 9 11, 12, 15, 16, 18, 19. For bookings or to find vacancies, contact Megan 0468 493 893.

2. Mini Camps at the Farm
For those requiring a little assistance, mini camps will be offered at Laurie's Farm. They will commence at 8 am and volunteer support will be available.
$60 for the mini camp and 2018 annual membership of $35 is also required. Limited spaces available.

New Volunteer Training - Orientation and Induction in 2018
New volunteers will be offered Orientation and Induction on Monday 29 - Wed 31st January from 9 am - 12 noon.
All new volunteers welcome! Morning tea will be provided.
Please come with closed in footwear, sun-smart clothing and your sense of fun!

Ongoing Training for Existing Volunteers in 2018
Existing volunteers will be offered Ongoing Training on Monday 29th  - Wed 31st January from 9 am - 12 noon.
Modules covering disabilities, horse care and welfare will be some of the offered sessions on these days.
Morning tea will be provided. Come along to enrich your skills and knowledge base and to catch up with old friends!

This Equestrian Australia program will continue on a fortnightly basis on a Saturday afternoon.

2017 program commences on 21st January at 2pm with induction activities.

NEW OPENING HOURS for SADDLERY SHOP
Thanks to the wonderful team of Volunteers, the Saddlery Shop in Yandina now has new opening hours.
It will be open Monday - Friday from 10am - 4pm,
Saturdays from 9am - 1pm.
